THE LANTERN SOUND RECORDING RIG is in a bucolic, historical, three-story, eleven-room farmhouse, where artists can live, eat, and breathe their recording to completion. We are located less than five minutes from the Hampton Jitney, the Long Island Railroad, and the Long Island Expressway in the Eastern Pine Barrens of LI, NY. We feature a full variety of microphones and mic preamps, Apple Logic® recording software, simple & clean signal paths, a full compliment of drums/amps/instruments. Quick setups, nice comforts, pleasant people, and fantastic vibes are our trademarks.

FROM THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY:
Get off LIE Exit 70 (route 111). Head north.

(FROM SOUTH FORK: Take Route 27 West and exit at route 111 North. Take 111 north, past the L.I.E. Do not get on the Expressway.)

Go slow, these are dark unmarked roads. Continue North from exit 70. At the corner with the Post Office (on the right side of the “T” intersection), turn right onto Ryerson Avenue. “The Maples” (Roadhouse) will be on the left coming up - pass this and cross the railroad tracks. At the next “T” intersection, turn right onto North Road. There will be a fork intersection coming up; bear left and the road becomes Wading River-Manor Road. (You can also follow the small signs for Swan Lake Golf Course the whole way.)

About a mile from the Expressway, at an intersection of River Road and Wading River Manor Road, there will be large boulders along the perimeter of the property at street-side that will appear ahead. Behind that is the three-story white farm house with red shutters, close to the intersection. If it's dark, there will be a street light on the telephone pole on the corner. Bear right onto River Rd, keeping the house on the left. The entrance is immediately on the left.

Look for two brick columns marking the entry gate. They're marked "Annie's Acres". There's a red mailbox across the street from the driveway. It's marked "60". There's also a small sign hanging near the driveway entrance, also marked "60". Park in the parking lot right behind the gate, and if that is filled, in the grassy area across the street.

FROM THE NORTH:

Take Wading River Manor Rd. south from Route 25. In three miles, we're at the intersection with River Rd. On the way, be sure to bear left to continue on Wading River Manor Road south. After you see a big bull statue in a field on the left, bear left onto River Rd. The entrance is immediately on the left. Red mailbox across the street from the driveway. It's marked "60". There's also a small sign hanging near the driveway entrance, also marked "60". Look for two brick columns marking the entry gate. They're marked "Annie's Acres". Park in the parking lot right behind the gate, and if that is filled, in the grassy area across the street.
